BIOPUNCTURE
Definition
Biopuncture is a therapeutic technique that uses biotherapeutic injectable medicine for injection in specific spots and areas of the body. It is a technique practiced by both primary care physicians as well as specialists in sports medicine, orthopaedics and by specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation. It is important what is injected and where it is injected. There are many medicine combinations and points which can be injected.
What is injected?
Biotherapeutics are medical products that do not suppress the neuro-immunological reactions or interfere with the normal physiological defence systems of the body. These remedies are injected to regulate natural healing, regulate inflammatory processes that have been suppressed and to stimulate the detoxification processes of the body.
Products of botanical origin, vitamins, minerals and antihomotoxic remedies can be used. Antihomotoxic remedies are those made according to the theory of Reckewegs’ Homotoxicology.
Most of the remedies originate from plants and minerals. They are diluted and sterilised and packaged in ampoules for injecting. There are usually several compounds in one ampoule, making up a complex remedy. These complexes are diluted but not beyond Avogadro’s point, therefore there is a detectable amount of substance in the ampoule for injection.
These diluted homeopathic complex remedies are used and are advantageous as the amount of substance being used is not significant enough to produce dangerous side effects.
Examples of some commonly used remedies include: Lymphomyosot, Traumeel, Zeel, Coenzyme comp, Discus comp, Hepheel, Ignatia-Homaccord and Spascupreel.
Location of injection
As the name Biopuncture inplies, there is a connection to acupuncture, ampoules are injected into reflex zones, acupuncture points, trigger points, pain points and intodifferent structures: e.g. muscles, connective tissue and ligaments.
Location of injection is crucial in determining success or failure.
